ICCR Scholarship
ICCR Scholarship is the best scholarship for international students to study at government universities in India with government funding and a stipend. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations-ICCR awards fully funded scholarships with a monthly stipend to international students for pursuing various undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. research in India.
To strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries, the government of India award various fully funded scholarships with a monthly stipend. Recipients of ICCR Scholarships do not have to pay any tuition fees and other expenses to the University for conducting their education or research in India. In addition, they receive a monthly stipend from the ICCR to cover their daily expenses. The ICCR even pays the cost of traveling to India for the first time and returning home after obtaining a degree.

Financial benefits of the ICCR Scholarship
The ICCR Scholarship holders enjoy various financial benefits from the ICCR. Details of the financial benefits are shown below for Bangladeshi candidates as per the academic session 2023-24.
STIPEND
The undergraduate stipend per month is INR 18,000
The postgraduate stipend per month is INR 20,000
M. Phil or Ph. D stipend per month is INR 22,000
Post-doctoral Fellow stipend per month is INR 25,000
HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE PER MONTH

MEDICAL BENEFITS
Medical Insurance Policy has to be procured by students with a minimum sum assured of Rs. 5 00,000 per year. This is a mandatory requirement for availing of ICCR Scholarships. Detailed information regarding medical benefits is available at the A2A Scholarship Portal.
How to apply for ICCR Scholarship
To simplify the application process, ICCR has created a website called the A2A Scholarship portal. Applicants will have to create an account on A2A Scholarship Portal using all authentic credentials. Read all the information very carefully before starting the application process.
Document Checklist for ICCR Scholarship
Before beginning with the ICCR Scholarship application process keep the below-mentioned documents ready with you.
All academic certificates & Transcripts;
Biometric Page of the Passport;
Two letters of recommendation;
Birth Certificate or National ID in English;
A recent color passport-size photograph with white background;

IELTS or English Proficiency Certificate documents if there is any;
An essay containing 500 words;
Any scholastic documents;
Research proposal for M Phil or Ph.D. applicants;
Youtube link of Artwork who applies for Fine arts or performing arts;
Important Note
All documents must be in English. In the case of another language, translate in English from a certified translator.
Applicant should obtain the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) equivalence also (if required). This would be stipulated by the concerned University / Institute in their Provisional Confirmation letter for the applicant (uploaded on A2A Portal). In case AIU equivalence is required the student may apply for the same at the link https://evaluation.aiu.ac.in/student/login and bear the fees incurred on obtaining the certificate at their own expense (non-reimbursable). Applicants are advised to visit the respective University/institute website regularly for courses offered, eligibility criteria, and general information about the University/institute before applying for admission. The students should ensure that they are eligible for the course and meet the eligibility criteria and should submit relevant documentation as required by the Universities, in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the application form. They would be also advised to refer to the University’s Handbook / University Grants Commission’s website etc.
For the academic year 2022-23, admissions in Medical/ Paramedical (Nursing/ Physiotherapy / Anaesthesia, etc.) / Fashion / Law courses / Integrated courses such as BA-LLB (5 Years) / B Sc & M Sc (5 Years), etc. are not admissible.
Please note that for Science courses, the expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges will be borne by the scholars themselves.
ICCR may amend some provisions of scholarships from time to time and it is incumbent on students to accept the revised norms.
