The Indian Council for Cultural Relations announced the ICCR Scholarship 2023-24 for International Students, keeping the application deadline to April  30, 2023. This year the age limit for applying for Ph.D. has been increased to 45 years. Fashion, Law, 5-year Integrated courses, Medicine, Paramedical including Nursing, Physiotherapy, Anaesthesia, etc. courses are not included in the ICCR Scholarship Scheme this time. 

This year, ICCR Scholarship has been titled as Suborno Jayanti Scholarship Scheme (SJS) and Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme to Study in India 2023-24 for Bangladeshi students. 

Applicants should have completed 18 years of age at the time of admission and should not be more than 30 years of age for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. 

For candidates who are applying for Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology Courses, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) are compulsory in 11 and 12 Grades (SSC, HSC/O Level, A Level).

A 500-word essay in English has been introduced to ascertain English proficiency. Besides, students can also submit their TOEFL, IELTS, etc. Standardized Test scores, if available. Universities and Institutes may conduct online interviews of the applicants if so required.

It is compulsory for all ICCR Scholarship students to procure a Medical insurance policy with a minimum sum assured for Indian Rupees Five Lakhs per annum. It may also be mentioned that ICCR may amend some provisions of scholarships from time to time and it is incumbent on students to accept the revised norms.

Applicants are advised to visit the respective university or institute website for checking the courses offered, eligibility criteria, and general information about the University and institute, before applying for admission.

ICCR Scholarship holders have to stay in the campus hostels on availability. No exception for family, health reasons to stay outside of the campus will be entertained.
