The Vellore Institute of Technology - VIT announced a 40% scholarship for international students. A release from the International Relations Office of the VIT confirmed the scholarship. According to the scholarship all international students who have more than 60 marks in the qualifying examination will get the scholarship for pursuing undergradaute and postgraduate studies. 

There is no scholarship on PhD courses. However, PhD scholars may qualify for a monthly stipend amounting INR 10,000 to 12,000. 

According to Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2020 by the Shanghai World University Ranking, VIT is the only Indian private university ranked top 9 position among the Higher Education Institutions in India.
